From Preston Hollow to Mountain Brook
Designer & Client: At It Again
This Mountain Brook estate is more than a house — it’s the continuation of a fearless design partnership that started with reimagining the client’s Preston Hollow home. But then our client called us again, this time to tackle a sprawling 6-bedroom, 9-bath residence nestled in the hills of Mountain Brook, Alabama. Purchased from an influencer mid-construction, the house was unfinished and lacked architectural interest, so we re-envisioned every corner, ripped out all the tile, cabinets, crown molding and moved walls. The result is a home that’s bold, livable, and unapologetically personal — a reflection of a client whose style is her own and who pushes me, Kristi Kennimer, to stretch past my own wild limits into new creative territory. This is a dream client, a dream project, and the story of how fearless design results in a comfortable, vibrant home for an active, stylish family.
